Slave Nation: "Corporations are People, too, my friend".

It's being bandied about that Fox Views is acting horrified that House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi wants to amend the Constitution. However, there is no reason to amendment the constitution, Ms. Pelosi.

When Mitt Romney says, "Corporations are people, too, my friend", he's admitting that, while at Bain Capital, he bought and sold other people (corporations are people) as though they were property. However, the 13'th amendment to the US Constitution specifically states that "causing or threatening to cause financial harm to any person—i.e., "using financial control over a person" is against the law (which an LBO does; it is a leveraged buyout, the buying of someone against their will, by coercion).

By proclaiming that Corporations are people, we are Constitutionally forbidden from buying and selling them as though they were chattel, thereby rendering every Stock Market transaction illegal.

We don't need  a constitutional amendment; we need an Abolition Movement to halt the buying and selling of people, my friend.

In "Slave Nation: How Slavery United the Colonies and Sparked the American Revolution", Alfred and Ruth Blumrosen document how in 1771 the American master of James Somerset, a negro slave, attempted to send him out of England to be sold. Abolitionists pleaded  on his behalf, and, in a famous judgment on 22 June 1772, Judge Mansfield declared that slavery was odious and unknown to common law. Somerset was given his freedom.

The logic of this was not lost on Plantation owners of the South who knew that the independence of their Colonial Rule was granted under the stipulation that "No Colonial government may pass a law repugnant to the English Constitution", which, it was now undeniably apparent, slavery most certainly was.

The Blumrosens argue, rather convincingly, that it was this judgement that was the genesis of the First American Civil War, now referred to as the American Revolution.

When the apparent nominee for the Top Executive position in these United States glibly champions the buying and selling of people, my friend, it sends an undeniable challenge to all Freedom Lovers and Defenders of Liberty to free all those enslaved persons by enforcing Constitutional Law and bringing a halt to the buying and selling of people so flagrantly conducted in that last bastion of the Slaveholders: Wall St.

We shall not go Barack to the future.

Mr. Obama: TEAR DOWN THIS WALL ST.!
