Cry-baby Formula: E=MC Squared

Despite its being the most famous formula in the history of the world, there are but a handful of people who could give me a satisfactory, non-mathematical explanation to the question, what about the Heat? Where in the formula E=mc squared (E = energy, M = mass, and C = the speed of light (expressed in distance per time increments, (miles/second, or meters/sec))) is there provision for the waste heat created and exhausted by the conversion of energy from one form into the other? The answer? In very non-mathematical terms, as I  gleaned from a quick read of WikiHow, is that the E = ALL the energy, including the heat energy. So while in explaining the process of a chemical reaction, our equations must always include the waste heat in order to take into account the conservation of energy, Einstein's equation tells us how much total energy is contained inside a certain amount of mass, not the amount of energy to be derived from converting that mass into its energy equivalence, essentially demonstrating that a small amount of mass contains a massive (NPI) amount of energy.

In case you haven't noticed, every one of the  green technologies (championed by the "Let Corponations run the world" philosophy, that never misses an opportunity to profit from misery) invented by the CryptoCapitalism stalwarts, including hydro, are failing (Surprise! Surprise!) to produce the necessary amount of power to replace the legacy generation provided by fossil fuels. The largest producer of energy in the country, and therefore the world, the State of Texas, lacks the provision, despite a landscape overrun by oil rigs, jackdaws, pipelines, and refineries, boasts the largest installed base of wind-generated electricity in the US, and has installed solar-generating capacity second only to California's, to weather either a cold snap that was predicted months in advance or a heat wave, which is simply weather for that arid stalwart of "Climate Change is a Hoax", state, Texas.

Now what we must remember is that Texas is the epicenter of trumpery, and therefore the epicenter for climate change denialism. What that shouts out loud to the entire world, given the fact that without climate change, there is no other explanation for the rapid ramp-up in heat, drought, extreme hail, tornados, derechos, earthquakes, and floods, other than hydraulic fracturing. Granting the strumpettes that Climate Change may be a hoax, the rapid growth in extreme weather events that have exactly paralleled the expansion of fracturing around the country are undeniable. Dutchsinse, a youtube channel devoted to earthquake prediction makes clear, the extent of the hydraulic fracturing mania that stretches across more than half of the US' States that are using this high-intensity form of energy extraction (High intensity means high percentage of waste heat is produced as a consequence of the vast amount of energy required to extract the last dregs of America's fossil fuel legacy and rapidly build an LNG infrastructure in order to EXport them to the rest of the globe (in order, per an article in the WSJ, to enrich oil company "stakeholders", who demand that they alone be enriched despite the fact that their demands for dividends instead of more drilling are tanking the economy)  ... and that waste heat cannot escape because there is a veil of methane and nitrous oxide blocking it).

I have a Dutchsinse's t-shirt and hoodie which both state that "Fracturing causes Earthquakes", which, given that "climate change is a hoax" and that the extreme weather in the US has exactly paralleled the growth of the fracturing enterprise, it HAS to be, according to the trumpery of the largest fracker in the universe, Texas, hydraulic fracturing, and the veil of GHG's its adoption has enveloped the Western US in, that is causing the weather extremes across the US continent. It is only because, as made manifest by the War on Ukraine that has resulted in energy constraints around the globe, that without the energy-intensive method of energy extraction that fracturing represents, we would not have enough energy for the status quo, never mind growth, that fracturing must continue. Yet even as people flock to Texas, it's economy and isolated energy infrastructure haven't the ability to provide them with the juice they need to live, let alone thrive.

What I find compelling about all the failed green initiatives is the woeful fact that as the rig count in the USA's infamous oil splatch have increased from day one of the Build Back Bigger Biden administration, three things didn't follow that increase:

1) oil production

2) US oil stocks (NOT Wall Street stocks, but supply of oil in US inventory. This drop in inventory has coincided with a INcrease in the amount of oil the US is importing from abroad)

3) US distillate stocks, which in the last year have plummeted from 160 million bbls/day in March 2021 to little over 100 million bbl's/day as of late May, while demand for them soars.

Yet just as compelling are the increases in

1) rig count

2) dividend payments to energy investors as oil price escalates to past $100/bbl (as it did during the beginning of the Obama/Biden administration)

3) LNG exports; as the US exports hand over fist the last of its energy reserves: the LNG industry simply didn't exist during Biden's Vice presidency, but it has since grown, with nary a comment from the navel-gazing commentariat, to become the world's largest by the time of his Presidency, i.e., in less than a decade!

But that's still not exporting America's last energy resources fast enough to satisfy the greed of the Corponationals who have already started laying the pipeline to export ever larger quantities of a diminishing resource to foreign entities:

In the first quarter of 2022, the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC) approved three projects specifically intended to increase U.S. natural gas exports via pipeline and as liquefied natural gas.

In a new report from the Stockholm International Peace Institute, it suggests that "the nations of the world must come together, invest in resilience, finance peace, and make clear the risks of not working on the problems of eliminating conflict and climate change together".

Instead, the major economies of the world, from China to Russia, to the USA, not-so-great Britain, and France, have all opted to, instead of  investing in resilience and peace, double down on the current fossil fuel regime, by profiting from increasing conflict and throwing money at every Bright Green Lie that will fool the polity into believing they are"so solving the problem" when their bulging bank accounts scream that they have no intention of gutting the fat calf they are all feasting on. There's no other entity that reeks of Elon's musk more than Tesla, the poster child for faux green machines that despoil even more of the  planet than the ICE machines they're to supposedly replace (Which will never happen, if for no other reason than that now there's simply not enough time left), but the manufacture of which has no customers, even among the super rich, unless the government pays them a hefty dividend (on top of those it has already lavished on the company itself) to purchase, and the profits from which have gone to fund the most polluting enterprise with the largest carbon footprint of any other business: space launches to the edge of the atmosphere for the sole purpose of providing billionaires an expensive cheap thrill.

But just like claims that the current lack of energy resources is because "there has been a lack of investment", even while, as the WSJ article cited above makes abundantly clear, trillions of investment dollars have been flowing into the oil industry, a flood of investment so enormous and long-lived that the industry is being forced  by its own investors to cease drilling and "return" money to its investors instead of providing the energy resources such investment was supposed to provide, provides the proof of its own perfidy, similarly a country that despoils the plains, desiccates entire states, inflicts floods, droughts, tornados, and wildfires, all for the supposed purpose of achieving "Energy Independence", and then EXPORTS the resulting bonanza of energy products, demonstrates that, far from following the suggestion it "invest in resilience and finance peace", it has opted to capitalize on dwindling resources by raising their prices, and using the profits derived therefrom to finance, not peace, but arms manufactory to such an extreme that, "in 2021 military expenditures surpassed $2 trillion for the first time ever.”

So what that makes manifest is not that there is a lack of investment, but that the level of malinvestment, aided and abetted by the criminal Fed, is so egregious, the amount of monies spent on developing technologies that make a few billionaires into multi-billionaires, (yet not only don't solve any of the problems they purport to, but makes them exponentially worse), so destructive, that it makes Cryptocapitalism's denouement in utter disaster inevitable. Which is a finale that every one of the monotheistic religions of the world no longer feels the need to keep secret their insane desire to precipitate, and therefore their complete dedication to gutting any business, technology, or ideas that might mitigate our upcoming train wreck. If the wisdom of the market place means that even infants have to starve, well, hey, so be it. CryptoCapitalism, which is basically Trumpism, is more important than anything else on the planet.

While the government that flies in supplies from Germany to feed the unwanted is castigated (by all those right-to-lifers intent on making laws to protect the "unborn children" ... a legal impossibility: if it's unborn it's not a child, if it's a Child, it's been born ... LOOK IT UP: a child is, by definition, a young human being below the age of puberty). Summer has yet to even begin, but the annual practice of leaving their unwanted Children in the car has already started across the South as three helpless infants have been "accidentally" left in cars by their parents to suffocate to death; parents that receive no punishment at all. So killing your actual child, well, that's okay, as long as you "forget" to take them from your vehicle, but make sure you go through the expense and trauma of actually birthing it so you can then roast it alive in an automobile: abortions bad, but the murder of actual, living and breathing (well, trying to breathe), children, well, that's perfectly acceptable. That's how the MAGGAts roll (in vehicles so capacious they don't even know there's somebody else in it with them).

Miracle of Science: 100% Clean Electricity.

First of all I hope you realize the oxymoronic (Or more accurately, simply moronic)  nature of the phrase "Miracle of Science". If it's science, it is by definition, not a miracle; and if it's a miracle, it means it has no scientific explanation, otherwise, it wouldn't be a Miracle.

Now on with the show.

Axios is showing us how we can save lives by cutting emissions! All we need do is generate 100% clean electricity! If just the city of New York were to do so, it would, "save 14.2 thousand lives". In a country where half the population still believes that Climate change is a hoax, and the other half have forgotten that, and where the milestone of one million lives lost to Covid goes by with barely a shrug, the author seems to think that a "Lives Saved Calculator", that calculates the number of lives "saved" thanks to CO2 reduction, is going to act as some kind of incentive to meet "Clean energy targets."

So there you have it. Half the country thinks climate change is a hoax, while the "smart people", you know, the ones who "listen to the science," are bloviating about the possibility of saving thousands of lives via the twin chimeras of "Clean Electricity" and "Clean Energy". Like claiming natural gas is a "transition" or "bridge fuel", or that there's any such thing as "Clean Coal", such reportage reeks of Corporate sponsorship as it wreaks havoc on the fortunes of Americans.

As anyone knows who has read  any of my posts, it's my firm belief that every one of the lies about energy production and the energy "transition", which is the theory that we can continue to increase our daily consumption of vast amounts of energy while simultaneously decreasing the load of waste heat and other harmful byproducts of energy generation (it is instructive that, even as the conversations in regard to global warming starts to heat up, there is never any mention of the substantial loss inherent in all cases of energy conversion ... that is because that loss is measured in terms of excess HEAT, heat that is added to the atmosphere from which it has an increasingly hard time of escaping). Think of crypto currencies and reread the endless benefits to be derived from their use, as opposed to the stark reality of irreparable financial damage to millions simply because billionaires needed a better method of hiding their ill-gotten gains from illicit activities, and you get an inkling of the scale of the "clean energy" hoax being perpetrated by the Corponationals right under our noses and with the full blessing of such "journalists" as Ben Geman, the author of this cited piece of garbage reporting.

But although that is true, that is not why I think it has the real potential to wreak havoc on the fortunes of Americans.

Because if you claim that New York City can save tens of thousands of lives if they would only generate 100% clean electricity, then you're saying that if it hasn't, which it won't, because it can't, since there is no such thing, then NYC is liable for the lives it is arguably willfully destroying. Remember, this is the same City that has brought frivolous lawsuits against Exxon for providing them with the energy resources they need to run their city; so if Exxon can be sued by NYC for the lives it has ruined, the same logic, using the handy "Lives Saved Calculator" would put NYC in the sights of those same lawyers, using those same arguments, with the additional fact that Exxon doesn't actually combust its own resources, but NYC certainly does.

Then there's this:

New York City has the largest number of electric cars in the country, home to some 69,000 electric vehicles whisking their passengers on their 35 million trips every day. In neighboring New Jersey, The Garden State has an impressive 30,420 registered EVs. The difference being that those in NJ can take you places, whereas the 69,000 EV's in New York are all in situ as they are passenger elevators (So that number would be even higher if freight cars were included), all of which are electric vehicles; and should the mental meanderings of our trepid reporter realize this, then the first thing on his, or anyone's agenda who actually cared about those 14,000 lives, would be to first provide  them with some of that clean, generated by fairy dust, electricity. Because if you can't provide the clean energy to produce the clean electricity to your already existing fleet of 69,000 EV's that exist right now in NYC, how in the  hell do you think this pipedream of powering an entirely new mobile fleet of electric vehicles that can drive to wherever they like to get recharged will do anything but add to the City's CO2 generation? (like to NJ, let's say, where they are not exactly committed to having a green energy infrastructure. Like drivers of ICE machines, EV drivers will go to where the fuel is the cheapest, not the cleanest).

But there's no glamor in that, I suppose, so it never gets mentioned any more than the 100% dirty electricity that they have been running on for generations. And now, thanks to the "Lives Saved Calculator", litigators have a tool to estimate the amount of damage NYC is inflicting on its neighbors, and for which they can now be held liable. Now THAT might have an effect on how much CO2 the city, which, with half the population of China's Guangdong (which manufactures more goods for US consumers than the entire state of New York), emits twice the CO2.

When even the state of Texas, the dirty energy hub of the universe, calls for its citizens to turn up their thermostats, after excess demand for A/C (to escape from the excess heat being the center of the universe produces) brought six power plants to their knees in a matter of hours, maybe its time for the 100% clean electricity crowd to admit that even if that were remotely possible, it would only exacerbate (what incentive does anyone have to curtail their use of 100% Clean Electricity?), not solve, our current (NPI) problems.

CryptoCapitalism's Global War on Terra.

Screaming Trees.

 CO2 on May 16, 2022:  421.72 ppm

In an article on CO2 removal from the atmosphere, posted on Yves Smith's Naked Capitalism site, one of the commenters posted that, "We are in trouble… "

Seriously!? WE!? WE caused the trouble, yes. But it is life as we know it on this planet, of which we are the most disruptive form, that is in trouble. Deep trouble. And it is in trouble specifically because of ongoing human activity which, despite all the grand designs envisioned by the pseudo-science of carbon removal, carbon sequestration, energy transition, zero emission folderol, etc. etc., have, as a species, formulated not a single  plan to actually decrease the combustion of carbon-spewing technologies, nor our dependence on the energy such incineration produces.

And all for one glaring reason: We insist on increasing the minimum amount of energy we need to get through each and every day. Day by day, year after year, one decade after the other, while we continuously bemoan the fact that , "We are in trouble… ", we just as continuously increase the energy needs of the human population while increasing the destruction such energy usage inflicts on our fellow creatures and the climate they have adapted to thrive in: fracturing is by far the most destructive widespread industrial activity in mankind's entire history.

Since we have of late decided that China and Russia are our greatest enemies, and since I can honestly say that in my entire lifetime, that has never actually changed (The Pentagon was making their battle plans for Full Spectrum Domination, which had China's growing militarism as its #1 priority (per Time),  at the very same time that US corporations were transferring US DOD-funded technologies hand-over-fist to both Russian and Chinese businesses ... which in autocratic states, means to the Russian and Chinese governments), it is fairly easy to see the attitude of the Corponationals vis-à-vis the specter of Climate Change: How can we make profits from it?

What I am trying to illustrate by that fact is that just as the DOD, specifically because of the economic system it operates under that pours trillions of dollars into it on a non-contingency basis, such that the fact that it has made living far more perilous for all of mankind, which, I'm pretty sure includes Americans, has absolutely no impact on the amount of capital that is extorted from the public and poured into the coffers of our Wehrmacht Republic's Luftwaffe and other offensive weapons systems, the trillions of dollars going into the construction of the zero carbon economy is having a parallel dynamic on the Global Warming front: the more we pour into creating our Frankenstein economy, stitched together with legacy parts from the industrial economy it totally relies on to not only spread its propaganda, but to power the ersatz transformation, the more energy-intensive, and therefore, carbon-intensive it becomes, and the faster the CO2 content of the troposphere, and therefore the earth's temperature, increases.

In an article published in Undark magazine, they describe the steps necessary to produce "Green" Steel, idiotic as that concept is:

By using electricity to separate iron from its ore, Boston Metal claims it can make steel without releasing carbon dioxide, offering a path to cleaning up one of the world’s worst industries for greenhouse gas emissions  (since steelmaking accounts for 7 to 11 percent of global GHG emissions,  it's one of the largest industrial sources of atmospheric pollution).

The latter part of that sentence is completely erroneous, as it doesn't even mean what it says; what it really means is that Boston Metal is one of the world’s most prolific producers of greenhouse gas emissions (They are in an industry that, per the statement above, is "one of the world’s worst industries for greenhouse gas emissions", ergo, Boston Metals, as they are NOT currently using the method of steel production described, are ipso facto, one of the world’s worst companies for greenhouse gas emissions).  And that is what the process described would change.

Boston Metals would do exactly what any other corponation does when faced with business practices that reflect them in a bad light to the public: they outsource it.

And that is all the elaborately detailed process describing how "Green" steel is made, outlines. Instead of coke, the process uses electricity, expensively produced off-site without Boston Metals involvement, to do all their hi-energy, GHG-producing steps before the BM gets involved.

“It’s certainly not an easy fix to decarbonize an industry like this", ... in fact, it's not a fix at all. Following the success of off-shoring: moving the heavy pollution off-company, at great expense to the public (not to shareholders, to the public, the modus operandi of CryptoCapitalism), they simply move the onus of CO2 to the utilities that then have to install a massive expansion in "renewable energy infrastructure" (remember that includes biomass, which is anything but renewable, as it burns through forests faster than a California wildfire) that an industry-wide shift to these new methods would entail.

But as we saw in Texas, it is the ratepayers of electricity that are billed for the improvements to the grid, not the stock holders of Boston Metal, whose dividend check will go up to reward them for the risk they have foisted onto the publicm (another feature of CryptoCapitalism no one cares to mention).

Each of the steps described in the Undark article requires more energy than the fossil-fueled method, but because that increase in energy use will be generated off-site by utilities, the fact that it uses substantially more energy, that it produces more CO2, is no longer their black eye, but the utility's:

"The world would need up to three times the currently installed solar and wind energy sources just to electrify the existing primary steel production."

“What we are doing is basically swapping (OUR) carbon ) Footprint) and putting it on the backs of electricity-generating utilities." (CryptoCapitalism).

And that's why despite decades of COPout meetings and corponational pledges, the CO2 burden the atmosphere is asked to take on is continually increasing, because neither governments nor corponationals have any incentive to decrease those emissions; their only incentive is to decrease their own emission, and the only way they have thus far found to do so is to offshore them, making it look as though they are reducing their carbon footprint when in fact they are INcreasing the overall carbon footprint ... by design ... as it burns fossil fuels to make the necessary changes:

Just ask Boston Metal:

"Switching to electricity or hydrogen would require vast amounts of capital spending to erect new plants and retrofit old ones." Vast amounts of capital comes from vast amounts of profits, which comes from burning vast amounts of fossil fuels since the industry that needs to generate that capital is "one of the world’s worst industries for greenhouse gas emissions."

Now you might argue that that 's fine, but one industry after the other is doing this, and that's all they're doing They're not decreasing carbon pollution at all, and certainly not the never-talked-about waste heat the entire process generates (waste heat that can no more escape through the blanket of CO2 blocking its escape than the sun's UV radiation can ... so INcreases global warming ... but that doesn't matter. Just like California bragging about its green credentials, even as it imports electricity from thousands of miles away, but the Earth doesn't CARE:

Every ton that is made, every auto manufactured, every spark plug fired signifies, in the final sense, a theft from wildlife that's hungry but can find no food, that's cold and homeless from having their habitat demolished.

This world, awash in ICE machines and weighted down in armamentaria so vast and integral to the manufacturing profits of industry that War must be CONSTANTLY WAGED, is not wasting money alone:

It is spending the sweat of its laborers to enrich the already obscenely wealthy, squandering the genius of its scientists to develop quants and apps to further funnel the nation's output in to the hands of despotic billionaires, and all the while, it is crushing the hopes of its children for a life not ruled by increasingly destructive weather.

The price paid for our modern life (in which riding in a vehicle that is already doing everything for us except piloting itself to our desired destination, has suddenly become too onerous for our poor, over-burdened selves, such that we are spending hundreds of billions in  "research" to enable an automobile, that is already being highly subsidized by the government, to pilot us around like so much cargo), is humanity turning every thriving wilderness area in the world into a lifeless wasteland.

Hence is it made clear the real reason the two war criminals, The United Petrol States and the Russian Conflagration, are environmental criminals who are using Ukraine in the same way the Bushes used Iraq:

To distract the world from the dire straits it has steered into. The economy, Ever Driven to giantism and centralization to cut costs, and thereby dominate every competitor to the point of extinction, has morphed into the CrytpoCapitalism model of obfuscation and rehypothecation, even going so far as to create cryptoCurrency exchanges to facilitate the hiding of the breathtaking scale of piracy, piracy without which the globaloney economy collapses. Like Queen Elizabeth (the first one ... you know, the one the Pope hired an assassin to do away with) turning a blind eye to English piracy on the  high Seas, because its unlawful activity filled the coffers of the Royal Treasury, the modern state doesn't simply ignore financial defalcations, it actively abets them.

As a brown cloud of pollution, caused  by the nearby oil and gas operations, stretches along the Rocky Mountains, the increase in insolation, and the resulting desiccation such pollution engenders, fires rage in Colorado, in New Mexico, Nevada, Utah, and Arizona, the cause of which is never stated but is readily known. But unlike the Great London Smog that killed thousands and that marked one of Queen Elizabeth's (this time the QE2) first public catastrophes, as per Netflix' The Crown, and resulted in the cessation of burning coal for heat in London, the deaths, firestorms, derechos, hailstorms, earthquakes, amped-up  hurricanes, relentless heatwaves, and historically destructive floods, never get associated with the rapidity with the the North America continent has become populated with pumpjacks and fracking wells, bespeckled with cesspools of noxious chemicals, veiled, thanks to its unmitigated release, with methane and nitrous oxide, while flaring unprecedented amounts of natural gas, amid the ongoing rampant destruction of the prairies, by the installation of a pipleline network so extensive, that it makes Enron's look like a paragon of industrial planning.

Instead of cessation, only expansion is envisioned:

So, even though Colorado has been hit by wildfires and floods linked to global heating, while the decline in snowpack fuels drought and water shortages across the west, although it has some of the worst air quality in the country, with emissions from oil and gas operations accounting for as much as 40% of locally produced ozone along the Front Range where most of the state’s 52,000 active wells (three-quarters are fracking sites) are located, production is about to escalate. Specifically driven by War propaganda that delivers to Biden the capacity to increase oil production to an extent that his predecessor could only have dreamed about.

It seems that cutting off oil supply and super-charging price increases is unpopular. War or No. So the Global War On Terra, far from curtailing its arc of destruction in response to Pakistan's unprecedented 50 degreeC heatwave, or India's 114 degree 2 week-old blistering oven-like temperatures, or its own out-of-control wildfires, never mind Russia's more than 7000 wildfires, its production is about to escalate dramatically.

In the first-ever expose of the fracking industry's crimes, the Guardian recently claimed that "140bn metric tons of planet-heating gases could be unleashed if fossil fuel extraction plans get green light". After more than a decade of fracturing the rock across the North American craton, I should think that it is simply the gilding on the lily:

"The fate of the vast quantities of oil and gas lodged under the shale, mud and sandstone of American drilling fields will in large part determine whether the world retains a liveable climate. And the US, the world’s largest extractor of oil, is poised to unleash these fossil fuels in spectacular volumes."

Please note, that the above was written as a future scenario; as though it hasn't already happened. Somehow more than a decade of drilling and extracting, in a largely unregulated environment, hasn't resulted in the destruction of the liveable climate once enjoyed by Texans, New Mexicans, Coloradas, Californians, well, you get it, the entire western USA, that has been turned into firezone and pincushioned with fracturing machines pulverizing the plains year after year, yet nary a word has been published to protest the liability that this puts on American citizens. But as the words of the former President ring in our ears, as he blames China for the Virus that originated in, well, China, threatening the Sheeple's Republic with lawsuits to extract damages from the Chinese State for the havoc it wreaked on economies worldwide, not one reporter wondered out loud about the liability that releasing mega-tons of climate-changing gasses would impose on the US for deliberately loosing onto the world, (with a Texan cynically calling them "Freedom Molecules"), the billions of tons of gases it has already negligently allowed to either seep into the atmosphere, or that it has flared directly into the troposphere, solely to increase their own profits, as it would cost more money to bring the climate-changing gas to a customer than to simply burn it in situ.

The carbon bomb that fracturing represents is not, "poised to unleash fossil fuels in spectacular volumes."  It is already doing that; has been doing that for more than 15 years. It has been doing it in increasingly large increments ever since the first fracturing wells were installed in North Dakota's Bakken, following Halliburton's field test in the oilfields of Kuwait where, using horizontal drilling to steal oil from Iraq's fields, they did for America's pre-emptive strike what the Donbas did for Russia's: gave the US an excuse to shutdown Iraqi production and use the high oil prices such a shutdown would engender to build the enormously expensive and energy-intensive infrastructure across the vast plains of the US to create its last oil Boom.

Ukraine is, by the purest of coincidences, doing the same for the two Petrol States, giving them both cover to continue to ignite what Faith Birol refers to as Carbon Bombs, across the planet, while enabling them to take the most effective step possible to curtail continued use of carbon-intensive energy: dramatically raising its price so that only the "Right People", as Bush père defined them, are able to afford them, while simultaneously, via sanctions, creating a 2-tier oil market, whereby India, buying Russian oil that is embargoed, pays half the price for a "fungible" product that the Europeans pay a premium for.

As Globalization's War on Terra intensifies, the amount of energy use keeps escalating, while those using the lion' share of that energy keeps dwindling. Thus, while India's billion swelters in 114 degree heat, a mere 29 million Texans, in heat north of 100 degrees, bring one electric plant after the other to its knees to cool their McMansions to a chilly 66degrees (True ... I've been there, in January, in Houston, where I was happy to be able to go out in just a t-shirt, only to make the mistake of going into a mall, shivering through the entire complex in the icebox temperature. So even in the middle of winter, when energy use in Texas should be less, it is goosed to allow obscenely obese white Texans to sport sweaters and their REI-branded outerwear  INdoors ... replacement culture indeed). Meanwhile, by the insistence that climate change is a hoax by hordes of replacement culture warriors, in the very country that is releasing more GHG's than any other country on earth, humanity's unparalleled industrial output has been severed from the increasingly chaotic state of the weather. And not only by The Blob's Trumpettes, but by that so-called conscience of a Liberal, Paula Krugman, who, despite all evidence to the contrary, has declared, while providing no data whatsoever to back his moronic claim, that economic growth is unrelated to fossil fuel usage. Meanwhile, as herds are culled, the production of food worldwide is kneecapped by floods and drought on every continent, bird flu results in the destruction of tens of millions of birds in the US alone; while bee colonies collapse, an insect apocalypse goes uncommented on, and the largest source of "green" energy, hydropower in the western US, (as well as India and other countries), turns into so many stranded assets,  the carbon investment in those projects goes unrealized thanks to droughts that never end.

Cryptocapitalism's War on Terra is a war against life itself... yet somehow, rational, science-minded individuals fail to recognize that human beings are living creatures, hence we have empowered non-entities we call "people" to write our laws, despoil our lands, poison our earth, air and water, and yet somehow believe that the war they wage is not against us. Why? Because it promises to make our lives "effortless".

That remind me of what month it is, makes me think the May tricks (In The Matrix, their lives were so effortless, they weren't even awake) are being pulled on us while we somnambulantly go about the daily business of daily destruction because the cryptocorporate sphere pays us to. And the self-reverential dominant culture whines that they are being replaced? If only, like the theory itself, it were that simple.

CryptoCapitalism Enables Climate Change.

Cryptocapitalism: The Handwriting's on the Wall St.

While the NYT's and other news outlets continue to show the very real effects of Russia's onslaught on the Ukrainians, one should remember that the same rag printed nary a word about the heart-breaking effects of the Global War Of Terror that America's waged, with no provocation, for an entire generation. Now you may claim that the events of 9/11 were certainly a provocation, but it must be remembered that the reason there is no no-fly zone over Ukraine at the current time is that enforcing a NoFly zone is an act of War, yet the US enforced a no-fly zone over Iraq, a country the DOD and Bush White House, without a sliver of proof, claimed were responsible for the attacks on NYC and the Pentagon.

In other words, the USA, by virtue of the NoFly zone it maintained over Iraqi sovereign territory, was at War with Iraq when the 9/11 attack occurred, so had it been, as claimed, perpetrated by Iraq, it would have been an act of War, not a terrorist attack, so the USA's GWOT was an exercise in Imperial overreach for which it used the attacks of 9/11 as cover, an exercise for which the US is still paying the price, yet for which the pages of the NYT's are silent.

As the USA waged its cryptoWar, a war whose real intentions and ultimate designs were forever hidden from the view of the public upon whose back the burden was placed, made it a good milieu for the explosive growth of US Cryptocapitalim  in which the real means of production and the ultimate source of funding are all enshrouded in fake corporate names, tax havens, slush funds, misallocated federal funs, military-style contracts in which the corporate profits are guaranteed whereas their products are not, etc etc.

Yet the near hysterical level of Reagan hagiography continues unabated. Reagan, whose administration started the bogus program of SDI, otherwise know as Star Wars, for its fantasy-level churning of science with science fiction, to such an extent that the US, with a population more than twice that of Russia, a defense budget that exceeds the GDP of most of the nations of the world by billions and billion  of dollars, and international "Defense" contactors stuffing their faces at the trough of pork-barrel Military Keynesianism, has nothing to show for their efforts, while Russia attacks its neighbor with hypersonic missiles, an offensive weapon not in the arsenal of the Soviets, and one which, given the sclerotic shape of the USSR before Reagan launched  his so-called Star Wars program, would not have to this day.

That's the legacy of the Reagan/Bush duopoly. Increased military spending, using financial legerdemain to fund the expenditures with borrowed money, imposing the burden on future generations at which time, it could, given its constituencies' ignorance, blame on the  opposition party.

Just as the Bush regimes used the Iraqi Wars to try out their new smart weaponry and the Darpanet to showcase its superiority in everything military, ie its Sole SuperPower right to inflict death and destruction from the air on a helpless population with impunity, the Red Badge of Cowardice has been wrested from its grip by the Russians' spineless military's onslaught of a neighbor that was not protected by a defense pact, its troops firing on women and children indiscriminately, using aerial bombardment as its Nazi buzz bomb alternative.

And like the US, it claims "collateral damage" when civilian targets are "inadvertently" incinerated by their weapons of mass destruction. But there is no collateral damage. It's like driving your multi-ton SUV into a crowd because they're in your way and ... "Freedom" ... and then claiming the mangled bodies left in your wake were collateral damage. Nonsense. As both the US and Russian militaries  know, when you know there will be casualties as a result of your actions, yet you take that action regardless, that is not collateral damage, that is unrepentant murder.

In much the same way cryptocapitalism uses the cover of climate change to wrest federal dollars from the US government for "green solutions" to our increasingly dire energy conundrum to maintain their profits while building an infrastructure that is no more climate-resilient than an igloo.

The internet itself, as can be gleaned from the stupidity of the billionaires it has created, a major enabler of not just the Bush Wars, but the crytocapitalistic model whereby the taxpayers fund the R&D, construction, and beta-testing of a vast infrastructure that enables the monopolization of every enterprise business owners have been building, the evisceration of entire downtowns to be replaced with a Warmart on the outskirts of town, making shopping without an automobile all but impossible, and the financialization of debt to an extent that, without the internet, would be impossible.

So to the list  of cryptocurrencies undermining the value of real currencies while making every nation's efforts at reducing CO2 emissions futile, (as crypto produces more CO2 than the Netherlands or Sweden, Argentina, or Chile) to cyber attacks, drones, nuclear war, SDI can now be added to the list of "defensive" technologies developed by the DOD that has now been turned against us. For had there been no SDI, there would be no hypersonic missiles in the Russian arsenal, since, let us not forget, the Russians were selling the uranium from their missiles to the USA, that's how much they believed our good intentions post Cold War. Believing the fiction of laissez-faire governance espoused by the Reagan/Bush theory of trickle-down-your-leg Voodoo economics, they thought a more decentralized economy would bring Russians the level of prosperity it could see being enjoyed in the US. Somehow the Politburo failed to notice the so-called "laissez-faire" economics was powered by the biggest growth in the Central Government's outlays since the second world War, nor that it was funded via high-interest loans for a low-risk commodity: 30 year bonds paying > 15% interest. Nor that, in yet another example of cryptocapitalism, how those borrowed dollars were being surreptitiously funneled to those defense contractors in which the ex-CIA Director had ample monies invested via his chairmanship of the board of the Carlyle Group.

But Putin noticed.

And, innovation not being a forte of most autocratically-ruled Asians, he copied Poppy Bush more than the Poppy seeds did, and with far more success. After all, cryptocaitalism is much more endemic to the East, they had to merely turn the page, whereas in the West, governments still have to use the cover of pretending they are "doing something" about climate change as a cover for them to shovel money by the truckload to major corponations that are already paying nothing in taxes while enriching their dividend collectors and producing more CO2 and  plastics waste than at any other time in history ... yet are drowned in federal dollars to do "research" into "handling the climate crisis" (since they did such a bang-up job of handling the Covid pandemic) by using the same tactics of monetary obfuscation and the transformation of the investment world into a gambling mecca for the already we-to-do.

Our road to oblivion has already been paved by the declaration by both political parties in the USA that, "The American Way of Life is Nonnegotiable." That is the death warrant of the most inhumane species on the globe: Homo Sapiens. It is only fitting that the ersatz economic system of cryptocapitalim, in which the mean justify the end of the world, supported by the internet-enabled worldwide web of lies, should prevail while we're stumbling toward the Death of Man.
